Our hike at Sint-Pietersberg was a deep dive into both nature and history. Thanks to our guides, we explored it far beyond the surface. It’s mind-blowing to realize that the ground we were trekking on was once a tropical sea. In fact, ´´new´´ fossils are still being discovered in these marl layers today.

After the hike, we took a moment to relax together. It was the perfect end to the day: sharing stories, catching our breath, and getting to know the people beyond the hikes.

Did you know?

The Sint-Pietersberg is a world-class site for fossils. Recent discoveries by local paleontologists have uncovered species that lived up to 66 million years ago, proving that this "mountain" still holds many mysteries waiting to be found. It’s a powerful reminder of how important it is to protect and respect the nature around us.
